Bitbucket: find every pull request waiting for your review
Bitbucket asks you for a review by adding you as a reviewer of a pull request. How you find all of them depends on where you look: Bitbucket Cloud's dashboard lists them one workspace at a time and its REST API has no list of them across repositories, while Bitbucket Data Center keeps one list for the whole server.
Bitbucket Cloud in the browser
Atlassian's guide to the Bitbucket interface describes the Your work dashboard: the open pull requests that have you as a reviewer, the open pull requests you created and the repositories you can access, with a filter in the upper-right corner (for example, to hide pull requests with broken builds).
In 2023 Bitbucket Cloud moved to a navigation that shows one workspace at a time, so the dashboard covers the workspace you are in. Atlassian's answer to a community question about it says the pull request views now need you to go to each workspace. The request for a dashboard across workspaces, BCLOUD-22551, is still Gathering Interest (48 votes in October 2026).
Bitbucket Cloud in a script
The REST API has no endpoint for the pull requests where someone is a reviewer. GET /2.0/workspaces/{workspace}/pullrequests/{selected_user} looks like one, but it returns the pull requests the user authored. The request for a reviewer endpoint, BCLOUD-21950, is Gathering Interest too (27 votes). What works is one query per repository:
- Your account's UUID:
GET /2.0/user. - The repositories:
GET /2.0/repositories/{workspace}, page by page. - For each repository:
GET /2.0/repositories/{workspace}/{repo_slug}/pullrequests?q=reviewers.uuid="{your UUID}"&fields=+values.participants, with theqvalue URL-encoded. Only open pull requests come back unless you ask for anotherstate. - Still waiting for you: in
participants, your entry with the roleREVIEWERhasapprovedfalse and nostateofchanges_requested. A draft hasdrafttrue.
A list response leaves out reviewers and participants unless fields asks for them (+values.reviewers, +values.participants). We tried the filter on a public repository (atlassian/aui, October 25, 2026): 6 of its 10 open pull requests had the same reviewer, and the filtered query returned those 6. A workspace with many repositories costs one request per repository, which counts against the rate limit. An API token needs the scopes read:repository, read:pullrequest and read:user (missing scopes).
Bitbucket Data Center
Data Center has had a page of your pull requests across all repositories since version 2.1 (BSERV-2748, 2013). In REST it is one request for the whole server: GET /rest/api/latest/dashboard/pull-requests?role=REVIEWER&participantStatus=UNAPPROVED&state=OPEN lists the open pull requests where you are a reviewer and have neither approved nor set Needs work. user defaults to you, and start and limit page through the list (25 per page by default), according to the REST definition for 9.4.
Pull requests waiting for your review in IntelliJ IDEA
Pull Request Inbox for Bitbucket, a plugin by Lesstep for JetBrains IDEs 2024.1 or later, makes this list in an IDE tool window, from Bitbucket Cloud and, in beta, from Bitbucket Data Center 8.9 or later. Its filter "Waiting for my review" keeps the open pull requests where you are a reviewer and have neither approved nor requested changes, and leaves drafts out. "Whole workspace" looks through Bitbucket Cloud the way described above, in the 30 most recently updated repositories of each workspace whose repositories are open in the IDE, and uses the server's own list on Data Center; "Open repositories" looks only at the repositories open in the IDE. While the tool window is open it reloads the list every 5 minutes and tells you about new review requests. The review inbox, diffs, discussions and merge checks are free; approving, commenting and merging are Pro (US$1.50 a month, with a 30-day trial).
