Azure DevOps pull requests in Android Studio Otter and later

Microsoft's Azure DevOps plugin, the one its FAQ for Android Studio describes (Git and TFVC, pull requests), is listed on JetBrains Marketplace only up to Android Studio Narwhal 4 Feature Drop (2025.1.4). Android Studio Otter (2025.2.1, October 2025) moved to IntelliJ platform 2025.2, and from there Marketplace offers no version of the plugin: not in Otter, Panda, Quail or Rabbit. Its GitHub repository is archived (read-only). Android Studio still clones, pulls and pushes Azure Repos as plain Git; the pull requests are what is gone.

Azure DevOps Pull Requests, a plugin by Lesstep, is listed for Android Studio Koala (2024.1.1) and later, and for IntelliJ IDEA, Rider and the other JetBrains IDEs 2024.1 or later. The review inbox is free; with Pro you vote, comment and complete.

Microsoft's plugin: its versions list on JetBrains Marketplace (the latest, 1.162.2, names Android Studio Chipmunk 2021.2.1 to Narwhal 4 Feature Drop 2025.1.4). Platforms: JetBrains' list of Android Studio releases. Ours: Marketplace lists it for Android Studio Koala 2024.1.1 and later. JetBrains' Plugin Verifier finds it compatible with Otter 2025.2.1 and Rabbit 1 2026.2.1, and a first-time user's path (settings, token, inbox, diff, comment) was walked in Rabbit 1 against a stand-in Azure DevOps Services. Paid plugins in Android Studio are licensed through JetBrains Marketplace Licensing, a plugin from JetBrains that Android Studio does not include. If it is missing or switched off, Azure DevOps Pull Requests says so when you use a Pro action, and how to install it (Settings | Plugins, the Marketplace tab), instead of failing silently. Once it is installed and Android Studio has restarted, a Pro action opens Android Studio's Manage Licenses window with Start trial and Plans and Pricing, as in IntelliJ IDEA (checked in Android Studio Rabbit 1 with JetBrains Marketplace Licensing 262.9437.286, October 23, 2026).

The other choices in Android Studio

In Android Studio Rabbit, a Marketplace search for "azure devops" also offers Azure DevOps Integration, Azd, Azure DevOps Community and Pull Request Viewer. They are compared on Azure DevOps plugins for IntelliJ IDEA 2025.2 and later; all of them but Rider's built-in support are offered in Android Studio too.
