Bitbucket pull requests in Rider
Rider 2026.2 reviews GitHub pull requests, GitLab merge requests and Azure DevOps pull requests by itself. Bitbucket pull requests it does not: JetBrains' support article SUPPORT-A-2412 says JetBrains IDEs have no out-of-the-box support for them and points to third-party plugins on the Marketplace, and the request for the IntelliJ Platform under Rider, IJPL-72762, is Shelved. Rider's Git works with Bitbucket repositories as with any other: clone, commit, push, pull, branches and merges.
Pull Request Inbox for Bitbucket, a plugin by Lesstep, adds the pull requests in Rider 2024.1 or later: what is waiting for your review, the diff with its comments, and approving and merging, on Bitbucket Cloud and Data Center 8.9 or later. Reading is free.

What each plugin does is compared on Bitbucket pull requests in IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm. Ours: JetBrains' Plugin Verifier found version 1.0.52 compatible with Rider 2026.2.3 (October 28, 2026).
Git in Rider after app passwords
Older answers about pushing from Rider to Bitbucket say to use an app password. Bitbucket Cloud has refused them since July 28, 2026: pull and push answer The requested URL returned error: 410. Use an Atlassian API token with read:repository:bitbucket (and write:repository:bitbucket to push), and the username x-bitbucket-api-token-auth in the remote's address (how to switch).
If Git signs in through Git Credential Manager's browser login instead, it needs version 3.0.0 or newer by November 30, 2026. Rider runs the Git installed on your computer, and on Windows that is usually Git for Windows, whose Git Credential Manager is not version 3 yet (who is affected and the two ways out). Git over SSH is affected by neither.
Source Link from a private Bitbucket repository
This one is Rider's own, and no pull request plugin changes it. When you go to the definition of a symbol in a NuGet package whose Source Link points at a private Bitbucket repository, Rider asks for credentials and downloads the source file. A report from June 2026, RIDER-140261 (Rider 2026.1.3, open), describes correct credentials failing: the Source Link address starts with http, Bitbucket redirects it to https on the same host, and Rider sends the request after the redirect without the Authorization header. An older problem, Rider saving Bitbucket's login page as the source file (RIDER-73246), is marked fixed in Rider 2023.3.2.
